Varietals:
The Spice of Life
A varietal wine is a wine made primarily from a single grape variety, such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir or Pinot Grigio. But depending on where the grapes are grown and how they are processed, the resulting wines can be quite different in terms of what you smell and taste in the glass. This package invites you and your guests to choose a single varietal and experience it in a range of styles. You will come to understand how and why a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand differs from a Sancerre from France, even though they are both made from the same grape. If you are feeling up to a challenge, we can play a blind tasting game – but everyone wins!
